Course name: Packeteer Specialist - Level I
Course Description: The Packeteer Specialist course is
the first level of training in the Packeteer Certification Training
program. The aim of this 3-day course is to develop basic knowledge
and skills sufficient to operate an installed PacketShaper on a
day-to-day basis. The course is instructor-led and provides an effective
mix of operational theory and hands-on performance-based exercises.
Prerequisites: Students must have an understanding of
networking and general knowledge of application behavior on Wide
Area Networks.
Objectives: After successful completion of this course,
students will be able to:
- Describe the function/purpose, benefits, features and capabilities
of Packeteer's PacketShaper
- Install and configure the PacketShaper
- Classify network traffic
- Gain visibility into network and application behavior
- Control network traffic
- Compress network traffic
- Maintain the PacketShaper
- Troubleshoot network traffic problems

Course Description: This is an advanced technical training

analysis, and diagnose troubleshooting problems related to network
performance, network integrity and traffic flow. It also covers
troubleshooting PacketShaper hardware, software and configuration,
and solving problems related to capacities, limits, and performance.
The course looks deeply into command line operation of Packeteer
devices; advanced visibility, control and acceleration options;
troubleshooting strategies, and the use of diagnostic tools.
Prerequisites: Completion of Packeteer Specialist course
Objectives: The Packeteer Advanced Traffic Analysis &
Troubleshooting Course is oriented towards the learning needs of
working IT professionals responsible for troubleshooting network
application performance. It is intended to provide the student with
the knowledge and skills to perform at the highest level in their
day-to-day environment. The course is instructor-led and provides
